I used to think I didn't have time to work out. This time last year, I was making an album a month, live streaming twice a day. "Akira, maybe you should work out," I DON'T HAVE TIME! LOOK AT ALL I'M DOING!
Funny thing is, now I work out every day, I get MORE done. I'm way more productive now than I have ever been.
There are a few reasons for this
One, I KNOW I'm gonna be at CrossFit at 7pm. That's non-negotiable. So I have to make my time before then COUNT. If I stay up late, I know it's gonna be harder for me to get up early, so I won't have as much DAY before I got to CrossFit, the time I need to get what I need to get done. So I get up earlier, and I am even more eagle-eyed than previously when it comes to spotting areas where I'm wasting time, or could be more efficient.
The other thing is ENERGY
Working out every day gives me all this extra ENERGY. In fact, the extra energy I get from an hour long workout session gives me HOURS more energy than I'd have had otherwise. The ROI on that energy investment is crazy. I invest an hour into working out, and I get HOURS and HOURS of extra, nuke-force, turbo charged, god-source pure ENERGY to put into whatever I want.
The cool thing about discipline is, DISCIPLINE SEEPS IN
The discipline of showing up to workout every day reverberates throughout the rest of my life. And since that discipline turns into habit, I find myself with a gang of brilliant habits in all areas of my existence, carrying me, like a surfer on a giant wave...
...to my aims.
