We had a lot of plans for 2021. 

But you know what they say about man making plans and God laughing his ass off, and as it turned out we had to leave our beautiful home and epic, fully functional, freshly hand-crafted and constructed studio in Texas at short notice - mere months after I lost my LA studio, and we had to leave our our life there. Now we’re in Mexico and I’m working off a laptop in a makeshift studio in an air B & B. 

And those plans? They got reconfigured and retooled to match our capabilities in the new reality. I was asked about my routine in a podcast recently. Apparently all successful people have a routine. But routines are a luxury one should be careful not to come to rely on. Life will smash your routine into tiny little pieces on a dime, and if you were relying on being able to get a specific kind of oat milk in your coffee, or use a specific exercise bike at the gym, or even wake up on the same continent… if anything changes and you were reliant on some routine and can’t adapt IMMEDIATELY, well, you will suffer, and so will the people around you.

My routine is getting on with it, and after it, regardless.

And so in 2021 that’s what we did. We weren’t able to release all the music we planned to, but we worked as hard and as smart as we could to bring you the best that we could. And you responded with more love than any year before, in numbers greater than any year before, and we are so grateful, and so happy, and so honored to get to be a part of your story.

Thanks to everyone who helped us us to bring you this music this year, and thank you to all of you that listened, shared, and listened some more. I don’t now what the future holds, but I know that whatever life throws our way, we will adapt, and we will thrive, and we will continue create the soundtrack to the epic adventure that is your life.
