A couple of things occurred to me while watching A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (apart from 'wow, I'm actually enjoying a contemporary TV show for the first time in what feels like a decade!' -
One, "that delightful little whistling theme that keeps popping up is beautiful, and I want to make a song based around it immediately."
Two, "that scene with them eating the egg sandwich by the tree would look so beautiful as a little animated looping cartoon and would be the perfect accompaniment for a relaxing instrumental."
And so, while on a plane to Nashville from Mexico, I sketched out the beat, and when I got back to Mexico, I finished it, and made the little cartoon. And lo, I thought, if this isn't nice, I don't know what is.
