Oh My God Isn't That Gorgeous (Peak Imagination Version)

Created here in Don Studios Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, the piece is built upon and infused with the very same sounds that I wake up to every day - birds, birds, more birds, and other such jungle ambiance... an intoxicating sonic cocktail that inspires and delights me every day. It started life during a conversation with Respira's Dr. Christopher Hewitt, which mostly concerned music, culture, and history (hidden, rewritten, and otherwise), and at the end of it, I had a fully fleshed-out vision of the piece of music I wanted to make.

And so I set to work and chipped away at it like one might a block of marble, until eventually the statue hidden inside was revealed, and lo, it did indeed emerge just as I intended.

The music has many uses, but one purpose was to create something a person could put on at the end of the day, lie down, and go as deep into their imagination as possible. It is there that we do our most important work after all… it is there that we create the future. This music is, practically, a tool to aid with that most crucial of endeavors: creating the future.
