Last Week Of Working On The Joseph Campbell LP...
- 03 November, 2019
The leaves fall and the air cools outside my studio in Downtown Los Angeles.
We are entering the last week of production on the Joseph Campbell album, and the second week of mixing and mastering. THIS IS THE HARDEST PART! This is the part where for about 78% of it I wanna throw my computer through the window and am awash with sorrow because feel at that moment that I'm not as good as I need to be, ie I don’t have the combined skillset of Quincy Jones, Mixed By Ali and Dave Pensado and my shit doesn’t sound as good as Thriller yet. . but of course that’s just the part where I have to GO HARDER… because, as we know, on the other side is greatness (shouts out to GOGGINS)...
And it always is.
This album is shocking me every day, in every way.
It is my finest work to date by far… usually I have at least one song on each album that simultaneously makes all the hairs on my body stand on end, makes me cry, and fills my heart to bursting with glory and wonder for the epic potential of humanity…
However on this album EVERY SINGLE SONG does that. Its very insane, and I am going to work as hard as I can this week to make sure it reaches it potential.
LOVE TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
